Is there time for anything else after family, work, volunteering and other interests? Of course. I’ve always had an interest in photography. Since the age of 10 when I got my first 126 black and white camera to today’s Digital SLR, there is always something beautiful to capture and always a new way to look at familiar subjects.

I also enjoy a good round of golf, although I don’t get to play it as much as I would like – then again who does (save the pros)? As long as I play with the attitude to have fun and not worry about competition, it keeps me looking forward to the next round. I’ve made some great friends playing on league and precious moments with family members on the links. It’s hard to think of a “bad day” at golf despite the phrase “a bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.”

Downhill Skiing

I had the good fortune of growing up in Marquette MI where the winters are long and a ski hill was right in our back yard. OK, it was about five miles away – close enough. I recall finishing up school on many winter days when my Mom would pick me up and drive me out to the hill to get in a couple hours before heading home for dinner. Today, I enjoy spending a weekend with my wife and kids at some of those same hills in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula.
